WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS
House of Chelsea warrants to the original manufacturer of first-quality upholstery, that the furniture is free from defects in material and workmanship as noted. Warranties do not apply to purchasers of distressed products or display samples. Any costs for packing and shipping are not covered under this warranty. When in the process of purchasing and after having purchased any product from House Of Chelsea you also agree to be bound by our terms and conditions.
To obtain proper service under this warranty, the original dated purchase receipt indicating style and fabric descriptions should be kept alongside the warranty receipt.
The customer will bear the risk of any loss of or damage to the Goods and will own them from the time that we deliver the Goods to the address given during the order process.
This warranty applies under condition of normal household use but does not apply to defects that result from negligence, misuse, abnormal use, accident or commercial use.
These warranties are the only relief available to you for this furniture. These warranties are in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, including the implied warranties, merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose or warranty periods disclosed in the consumer Rights act 2015. House of Chelsea will not be liable for any special, incidental, consequential, or indirect damages, even if it has reason to know in advance that they are possible.
In the event the warranty exclusions do not apply to you, then, where legally permissible, such implied warranties are limited in duration to the stated warranty period and no warranties apply after that period.
Circumstances in which the warranties provided herein do not apply, the products involved are, where legally permissible, still subject to the above disclaimer of implied warranties and the above limitation of damages.
House of Chelsea limits any other warranty, obligations, or liability in connection with its products.
PAYMENT
House OF Chelsea requests 50% of the total cost upfront when an order is placed. The outstanding 50% of the cost must then be paid upon delivery of the item. Under no circumstances does the customer resume the right to withhold the outstanding balance for any reasons. The remaining 40% of the total price must be paid upon the delivery date, otherwise House Of Chelsea reserves the right to retain the product until payment is made.
BESPOKE DESIGNS
Bespoke and customised orders are NON-RETURNABLE and NON-REFUNDABLE. A Bespoke or customised order CAN NOT be changed or cancelled once the order has been placed. Any damage caused to the bespoke product upon delivery and falls under the manufacturer’s liability WILL NOT warrant a return. Any damage caused by the manufacturer will be repaired under warranty.
FRAME CONSTRUCTION
House Of Chelsea warrants the frame against breakage due to defects in material for the period of 36 months. This warranty is extended to the original purchaser only and is valid only if the item is covered in the original fabric. Products covered in the customer’s own fabric are not covered under this warranty.
SPRING CONSTRUCTION
House Of Chelsea warrants the spring construction against breakage due to defects in material and workmanship for the period of 12months. This warranty is extended to the original purchaser only and is valid only if the item is covered in the original fabric. Products covered in the customer’s own fabric are not covered under this warranty.
CUSHIONS
House Of Chelsea warrants the seat cushions against loss of resiliency due to defects in material and workmanship for a period of 90 days. The loss of resiliency should not, however, be confused with a slight softening and flattening of the fibres and foam that will occur as a result of normal use and aging. Cushions and filling material will begin to soften and conform to the shape of the user and these qualities should not be considered manufacturing defects.
UPHOLSTERY
Normally, fabrics are not warranted; however, House Of Chelsea does offer to our customers a limited warranty against defects in material or workmanship of 90 days in this important category. This warranty does not cover fading (upholstered fabric should never be placed in the direct sunlight), piling, cleaning, or shrinkage; and is not valid where there is evidence of soiling, misuse, abuse, negligence, accidents or commercial use. Please note: Warranty does not apply to colour variance, and exact match of shade on fabric repairs cannot be assured.
Fabric damage or failure due to chemical treatment other than by the fabric manufacturer or improper cleaning is also excluded from this warranty.
Household pets should not be allowed on your furniture. Evidence of animal use will void any warranty by House Of Chelsea.
TV BRACKETS AND MOTORISED MECHANISMS
All mechanisms are warranted by the manufacturer, and House Of Chelsea extends a limited warranty against defects in material and workmanship for 6 months from the date of purchase. When received, TV brackets must be inspected by the customer. If the customer finds any faults or issues with the tv brackets, House Of Chelsea must be informed of this immediately. Customers must NOT attempt to mount any television on to the brackets without first inspecting them. House of Chelsea will not be held liable for any damage caused as a result of improper conduct whilst attempting to mount any television onto the brackets. House Of Chelsea will not be held responsible for failure of the product due to the customer not following any instructions given in relation to the product.
